Nelson Research & Development Co. has appointed Donald McAfee Ph.D. as vice president of research and development. McAfee is the chairman of neurosciences at the Beckman Research Institute of the City of Hope.
Joe Rose, Nelson’s controller, said the Irvine-based drug development company has filled the research and development post on a part-time basis since November 1985. Ken Eakins, who has served as acting vice president since February, will continue with the company as vice president of European operations.
