EPA Officials Go to Site of Fuel Spill From Barge

Environmental Protection Agency officials joined cleanup crews Friday near a damaged barge that ran aground at the Cape Cod Canal, spilling up to 100,000 gallons of gasoline, Coast Guard officials said. Coast Guard spokesman Richard Griggs said EPA officials took samples to check “what, if any, water damage has occurred” since the barge ran aground Wednesday.
