Talks have broken off between Continental Airlines and unions trying to salvage jobs for 3,300 employees of bankrupt Frontier Airlines, officials said in Denver. Union representatives said the major sticking point was Continental’s demand that 75% of Frontier’s workers give up rights to bankruptcy court claims against Frontier and its parent firm, People Express, without job guarantees in return. Continental’s parent firm, Texas Air Corp., has offered to buy Frontier and People Express.
