Health Care Property Investors Inc. said it purchased 13 nursing homes in six states in three separate transactions worth a total of $29 million. The Costa Mesa real estate investment trust said it will lease the homes to a Tacoma, Wash.-based nursing home operator from which it purchased some of the facilities. The new acquisitions bring to 83 the number of nursing homes and hospitals owned by Health Care Property Investors, company officials said.
