Three out of four American adults think the problems facing children today are more severe than when they were growing up, said a national survey. The poll by the Louis Harris organization on the problems facing children found that 52% of adults perceive drug abuse as the most serious. A total of 1,254 adults were interviewed for the survey, which showed the majority believe a wide range of problems facing children, including hunger, kidnaping, sexual assault, parental abuse, suicide and prostitution, have grown in recent years.
