Pianist-singer Suzy Chung sued a singles magazine she says published her photograph, telephone number and other personal details without her permission. In her Sacramento Superior Court action, Chung, 38, said the quarterly publication Pacific Overtures Inc. falsely implied that Chung was “available for dating, fun, love, romance and marriage,” which caused her to receive dozens of letters and harassing phone calls from prison inmates and “unsavory persons” from as far away as Europe. The suit seeks unspecified punitive and general damages, and a permanent injunction ordering the defendants to stop publishing Chung’s photograph and personal information about her.
