1 Killed, 1 Wounded in Holdup at Market
One man was killed and another critically wounded Friday night during a robbery at a neighborhood market in Highland Park, authorities said. The men, believed to be the owner and an employee of the Lopez Market in the 5600 block of Aldama Street, were shot in the store at 7:45 p.m. said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Ted Ashby.
One died at the scene, and the other was taken to County-USC Medical Center in “extremely” critical condition, Ashby said. Neither victim was immediately identified. No suspects were in custody.
