Performing Arts Center

I am part of that large segment of Orange County that cannot afford to purchase season tickets to any of the series offered at our new Performing Arts Center. Nor do I have the time to volunteer.

I am a single working parent with two sons who loves the performing arts. I look forward to instilling in my sons my love for good music, good dancing and good theater. I would love to take them to see “West Side Story,” but as you pointed out in your editorial, only subscription tickets are available.

I urge the management of the Center to heed your suggestion that some tickets to each event be available to the general public. Limiting access to Center performances to the affluent does not bode well for the long-term growth of the Center.
