Mira Mesa Driver Killed as Car Hits Wall
NATIONAL CITY —
A 29-year-old Mira Mesa man died Sunday about noon when the car he was driving struck a concrete wall at 18th Street and McKinley Avenue under Interstate 5 in National City.
A National City police spokesman said the victim, identified as Kenneth Higuchi, apparently was driving the wrong way on the northbound access road from 18th Street to Harbor Drive when he hit the wall, on the southern side of the westbound lanes of West 18th Street.
He was dead at the scene. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
