Tax Preparer From Orange Indicted

A federal grand jury has indicted a tax preparer from Orange on 14 conts of assisting in the preparation of false tax returns.

William Richard Lambrose, 51, is alleged to have prepared income tax returns containing false deductions totaling 325,000. Lambrose allegedly sold investors partnership interests in mining development projects.

False deductions were claimed for mining expenses in 1980 and 1981 on the returns of the persons to whom he sold the partnership interests, according to the indictment handed up Thursday.
