Isaac Stern to Be Honored: Isaac Stern, a world-renowned violinist, will be presented with the International Cultural Diplomacy Award of the American Jewish Committee at a reception at 10 p.m. Saturday at the Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel following his recital at the Orange County Performing Arts Center. Stern, chairman of the board of the American-Israel Cultural Foundation, was chosen as the recipient of the award because of his contributions toward building intercultural communication through his music.
