British Airways refused to fly a suspected Irish Republican Army killer from Los Angeles to Britain to stand trial because it feared a terrorist attack, it was reported in London. The Mail newspaper said the airline refused to fly the suspect, William Quinn, 38, held in Los Angeles on charges of killing a London police officer, for fear his transport would lead to terrorist retaliation by the outlawed IRA. Quinn, who is from an Irish family in San Francisco, was arrested in 1981 by the FBI. He has been in prison since.
