U.S.-Soviet Daniloff Trade

Now that Daniloff is home safely from the Soviet Union I feel free to vent my anger at his irresponsible behavior that has caused so much trouble to our government.

How an experienced reporter fluent in the Russian language and knowledgeable in the ways of the Russian police would allow himself to fall into their trap is hard to understand. When you consider the fact that the Russians had tried to compromise him on an earlier occasion then you have to wonder if he isn’t stupid as well as irresponsible.
