A man was shot to death while strolling with a woman in South Los Angeles. Police said Tony Lamar Barrett was shot by a youth who jumped out of an automobile and confronted him in the 1100 block of West 67th Street. 77th Street Division detectives said the woman fled to safety when the gunman opened fire. The gunman then escaped in the car. Detectives said the victim was a known gang member.
