White House Press Secretary James S. Brady, wounded in the 1981 assassination attempt on President Reagan, has been hospitalized for an intestinal disorder, a spokesman at George Washington University Hospital said Monday night.

Brady, 45, was listed in stable condition. He suffered brain damage and wears a leg brace as a result of the injuries he received during the assassination attempt on Reagan on March 30, 1981. Brady retains the title of press secretary although he has had only a limited work schedule since he was wounded.
