The Clippers will open their exhibition basketball season tonight with a game against Athletes in Action at Cal Poly Pomona at 4 p.m., although Clipper Coach Don Chaney said it will be more like a scrimmage than a game.
Meanwhile, the Clippers said that they would not sign free-agent forward Michael Brooks and that they are negotiating with free-agent forward Sam Williams, formerly of the Philadelphia 76ers.
