Retired Adm. Stansfield Turner and his daughter reached an out-of-court settlement of lawsuits arising from family squabbles. Laurel Turner Armbruster, 41, and her husband, Kim Armbruster, had sued the former director of the Central Intelligence Agency when he cut them out of his will after he divorced Laurel’s mother. They said they had sold him their home in Walnut Creek on the understanding that he would give it back to them in his will. Turner denied making any such promise--and said he had cut the Armbrusters off when daughter Laurel threatened his life and son-in-law Kim dropped a heavy metal statue on him. Under the settlement reached this week, the Armbrusters will buy the house back for an undisclosed sum, and they are free to remain there until the deal is consummated.
