Westwood : Association Cites Dissertation

Melvyn Menezes, who earned a Ph.D. from the UCLA Graduate School of Management last year, has been cited by the American Marketing Assn. for the best doctoral dissertation of 1985.

Menezes, now an assistant professor at Harvard Business School, studied warranty policies as part of a company’s marketing strategy.

The AMA offers the award annually and employs an international panel of marketing faculty to judge the dissertations.
