Agencies Channel Funds, Supplies to Victims

These agencies are set up to channel relief funds or supplies to San Salvador and to provide information:

The American Red Cross. Checks or money orders should be made out to the American Red Cross and earmarked for Salvadoran earthquake relief. Contributions can be mailed to the Los Angeles Chapter of the Red Cross, P.O. Box 57930, 2700 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles 90057; the Orange County Red Cross, 601 North Golden Circle Dr., Santa Ana 92711, or the Salvadoran Consulate, 634 S. Spring St., Los Angeles 90053.

Medical Aid for El Salvador. The organization is seeking cash and medical supplies. The group’s address is Medical Aid for El Salvador, 6030 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles 90036.

UNICEF Emergency Task Force. Checks should be made out to the UNICEF El Salvador Emergency Relief Fund and mailed to the U.S. Committee for UNICEF, 1875 Century Park East, Los Angeles, 90067.

The Salvadoran Earthquake Victims Committee. Checks or money orders should be made out to Salvadoran Earthquake Victims and sent to the Southern California Ecumenical Council, 1010 South Flower St., Los Angeles 90015. Funds will go to Roman Catholic and Protestant churches in El Salvador.

Save the Children. Checks should be made out to the El Salvador Earthquake Fund, care of Save the Children, P.O. Box 970, Westport, Conn. 06881
