Coach Mike Ditka said the Chicago Bears have an interest in quarterback Doug Flutie, whose rights are owned by the Rams.

The Rams reportedly want a second-round draft choice for the 1984 Heisman Trophy winner from Boston College who last season played for the New Jersey Generals in the defunct United States Football League. Bear General Manager Jerry Vainisi reportedly has offered the Rams a sixth-round choice for Flutie.

The NFL trading deadline is 1 p.m. PDT today.
