Lynwood : Auditorium Given Name
The Lynwood City Council has voted unanimously to name the auditorium of the city’s community center the Louis A. Thompson Auditorium in honor of Thompson, a two-term councilman who died in July.
The 8,400-square-foot auditorium, which was previously unnamed, is within the A. J. Bateman Hall, the city’s 25-year-old community center.
A special election is being held in conjunction with the Nov. 4 general election to replace Thompson.
