Statue of Liberty Leap Lands Parachutist in Jail

NEW YORK —
A parachutist leaped from the Statue of Liberty’s torch Thursday and floated unharmed 305 feet to the ground, officials said. U.S. Park Rangers arrested Australian-born Nicholas Feteris, 25, and charged him with trespassing and with parachuting without a license.
