San Gabriel : Anti-Drug Effort Planned

The San Gabriel School District Board of Education has voted to develop a plan to make its school campuses safe from drugs. The board also voted to offer self-management and resistance training for fifth-grade classes. The goals of the training are to educate youth about the harmful effects of drug and alcohol abuse and to teach students how to resist pressure to use drugs. The district serves 3,000 students in six elementary schools and one intermediate school.
