Covina : Zoning Changes Denied
With little discussion, the Covina City Council has denied a proposed zoning change at 228 Hollenbeck and 464-476 W. Center St. that would have allowed for the construction of a 12-unit apartment complex.
Neighbors had complained of lack of privacy and increased traffic if the project had been approved.
In a report to the council, city staff members said changing the zoning from single-family residential to a higher-density zoning “may not be desirable” in the neighborhood, part of which was described as well maintained and stable.
