Improvements of the public boat launching ramp are scheduled to begin this week. The work will include replacement of deteriorated portions of asphalt and concrete, overlaying new 2-inch-thick asphalt paving and installation of 6-inch-thick concrete in the boat washdown area.
The $232,000 project, which will be done by Sully-Miller Contracting Co., is expected to be completed by Nov. 14. A portion of the ramp and parking area will be kept available to boaters with trailers, a county Department of Beaches and Harbors spokesman said.
