Losing Brings Out Beast in Some Trojan Fans

Share

Once again Santa (Ted Tollner) and his band of merry elves (the Trojans) have given Arizona State its annual pre-Christmas present. I guess six fumbles last year at Tempe wasn’t good enough because Santa and his boys outdid themselves this year, including: A Peete interception at USC’s 30 that led to three points for ASU; a running-into-the-kicker (who had missed a short field goal) penalty that led to six points; an ASU kickoff that the Sun Devils recovered as the USC receivers took a siesta and that cost seven points. And, of course, an Emanuel fumble at the USC 25 that gave ASU seven more. Thus 23 of the 29 points ASU scored were presents, courtesy of Tollner’s fumbling, bumbling Trojans.

I think we have seen this script before. Way to go in preparing and motivating your team, Ted. Why you still have a job is beyond me.
