Lorimar-Telepictures Corp. won FCC approval.

The Federal Communications Commission approved the Culver City-based firm’s acquisition of six television stations from Storer Communications for $1.415 billion. Storer is controlled by the investment firm of Kohlberg, Kravis & Roberts. The stations being acquired by Lorimar are WAGA-TV in Atlanta, WSBK-TV in Boston, WJW-TV in Cleveland, WJBK-TV in Detroit, KCST-TV in San Diego and WITI-TV in Milwaukee.
