Pro golfer Mac O’Grady has withdrawn his $12-million suit against the PGA Tour and Commissioner Deane Beman.
O’Grady, involved in a lengthy dispute against Beman and the Tour, was assessed a six-event suspension and a $5,000 fine for a major misconduct penalty.
After paying the fine and completing the suspension, O’Grady returned to Tour action last week in San Antonio.
In the course of the dispute, O’Grady filed an antitrust suit against Beman and the Tour, claiming the suspension deprived him of making a living.
That suit, the Tour said, has been withdrawn from U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.
