Culver City : Council OKs Ramp Project
The City Council on Monday accepted an $84,000 wheelchair ramp project two weeks after delaying approval to learn more about cost overruns claimed by the contractor.
The B-1 Enterprise Corp. orginally agreed to construct 186 wheelchair ramps throughout the city for $73,000. But in a dispute with the city over building specifications and extra costs, the company asked for an additional $11,000. The city will receive federal funds for the project but has to apply for them, according to a staff report.
The council accepted the completed project by a 4-0 vote.
