A producer suspected of supplying local pornographic filmmakers with more than 600 actors and actresses over the years was arrested by Los Angeles police. James Souter, owner of World Modeling Agency in Van Nuys, was booked for investigation of felony pandering after officers found video tapes of actors engaging in sexual activity at a Hollywood home in which he allegedly was producing a pornographic film, police said. “By arresting him, we have significantly cut down the availability of sexually explicit actors and actresses in the industry,” said Sgt. Don Smith. Police said they watched “numerous, known pornographic actors and actresses” going into the residence in the 8100 block of Laurelmont Drive in Hollywood before serving Souter, 47, of Thousand Oaks, with a search warrant. Porn actor Ron Jeremy, 33, of Hollywood, who allegedly directed the film, was also booked for felony pandering.
