Point Pelee and Birders

Share

Thanks for publishing the fine article, “Canada’s Point Pelee Is for Birders” by Jim Walters (Sept. 28). I just returned from Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada. Walters is incorrect in saying that “senior citizens are admitted free to all Canadian national parks.” At the entrance to Jasper, we were told that Canadian senior citiz1701737248else had to pay full price. Nowhere was there a sign that said seniors would be admitted free. The cost is so nominal and the parks so beautiful that I don’t think any American senior would object to the price. PHYLLIS HODELL Sun Valley According to the Government of Ontario Ministry of Tourism and Recreation, all Canadian senior citizens are admitted free to national parks, U.S. seniors must pay.
