The families of two Chileans, one of whom was killed and the other seriously injured after allegedly being set on fire by soldiers during a protest in Chile, filed a $10-million suit today against the military government.

The suit on behalf of Rodrigo Rojas’ mother, Veronica DeNegri, and Carmen Quintana’s parents was filed in Washington’s district court. Rojas, a 19-year-old Chilean-born resident of Washington, died four days after the attack. Quintana, also 19, is currently receiving treatment in a clinic in Montreal, where her parents live.
