Police were searching late Tuesday for a man who allegedly forced his way into a Huntington Beach woman’s apartment and raped her at knifepoint, a spokesman said.
Police Sgt. Larry Miller said the man entered the 21-year-old woman’s apartment on Benjamin Street shortly after midnight Monday through a locked kitchen window.
The woman said the attack occurred in an upstairs bedroom, Miller said, adding that the apartment also was burglarized.
He said the suspect is believed to be about 18 years old, with curly brown hair. He was wearing a tan sweater and yellow shirt, according to the victim’s description.
