Land Rover Ltd. confirmed that it is negotiating a $38-million deal with a buyer in Iran but denied British press reports that it is a secret deal to provide vehicles to Tehran. The Sunday Mail reported that the British firm is negotiating the deal to provide vehicles to Tehran for use in its war with Iraq. The newspaper said the deal for 3,000 Land Rovers is being arranged through the London office of an unidentified Middle East arms dealer.
