Council Votes $10,000 Reward in Eu Attack
A $10,000 reward was offered Tuesday by the Los Angeles City Council for the arrest of the intruder who viciously beat California Secretary of State March Fong Eu, 64, in a robbery at her Los Angeles home last week.
The only dissenter in the 9-1 vote on Councilman John Ferraro’s motion to keep the reward in effect for 60 days was Councilman Ernani Bernardi, who called it a “political gimmick.” He noted that thousands of other citizens have suffered at the hands of criminals and said of Eu, “We shouldn’t treat her any differently.”
