The revamped Los Angeles Lazers of the Major Indoor Soccer League will try for their second win in as many games when they play the defending champion San Diego Sockers tonight at 7:30 at the Forum.

After beating the New York Express, 8-7, Friday night, the Lazers, with eight new players, will get a rugged test against the Sockers, who are unbeaten in two games and are considered the best team in the league.

Against the Express, a new team in the MISL, the Lazers played well for three quarters and led, 7-2, early in the fourth. But they collapsed on defense, turning a rout into a narrow victory.

Los Angeles will have to play four solid quarters to have a chance against the Sockers, who scored a league-record 308 goals last season and allowed a league-low 196.
