Los Angeles-based Caesars World reported a 32% increase in net income for the first quarter of 1987, compared to the same period in 1986. Revenue also was higher for the period. The company achieved its 14th consecutive quarter in which net income increased, a spokesman said. Each of Caesars World’s operating entities showed improvement. Major contributor to the earnings increase was Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, where pretax contributions to earnings increased 44% over the first quarter in 1986.
