AMC Offers Cut-Rate Financing

DETROIT — American Motors Corp. is offering zero-interest financing on its 1986 Renault Alliance and Encore and Jeep Comanche models and 3.9% financing on its 1987 Renault Alliance and GTA models, the company said today.

AMC, whose 1986 sales are more than 40% lower than last year’s, previously had offered no-interest financing during the last round of industry-wide incentives, which ended in October. The zero rate for 1986 models and 3.9% rate for 1987 cars applies to 24-month loans, the auto maker said.
