Mayor Pro Tem Elected: Miriam Kaywood, who is serving her fourth term on the City Council, became Anaheim’s new mayor pro tem on Tuesday. Kaywood replaces Irv Pickler in the largely ceremonial post. Pickler nominated her for the position and the council voted unanimously to accept her. As mayor pro tem, Kaywood will assume the responsibilities of Mayor Ben Bay in his absence.
