Baptist Minister Held in Slayings of Missionary, Child
Police said today that they arrested a Baptist minister as he tried to escape the country in the slayings of an American Baptist missionary and her 10-year-old daughter.
A police spokesman said the Rev. Benjamin Moley Morris, 32, was arrested late Wednesday at Liberia’s border with the Ivory Coast while trying to flee. Morris is the key suspect in the killings of Libby Senter, 47, and her daughter, Rachel, who were found stabbed to death in the living room of their home at the American Bible College in the village of Yekepa.
Morris was the assistant pastor for Senter’s husband. Articles of his clothing were found in the Senter home and he was reported to be a frequent caller.
