Fund Will Help Needy to See Christmas Pageant

To share a little Christmas cheer with needy children in Orange County, the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove has begun a program to give these children and their families an opportunity to attend the church’s annual “Glory of Christmas” pageant at no cost.

The church is accepting donations for a special fund, “The Spirit of Christmas Wish,” which will help underwrite the cost of admission to the pageant. A donation of $10 will go toward the cost of a ticket, and tickets are priced at $14 to $18. The church will absorb the remaining cost.

According to church officials, the cost of putting on the extravagant production prohibits them from offering free tickets.

In addition, organizations such as Childrens Hospital of Orange County, the Intercommunity Blind Center and the Assn. for Retarded Citizens also will receive free tickets.

Individuals and businesses that contribute to the fund will be listed in the pageant program. The pageant will run nightly from tonight through Dec. 20 at the church, 12141 Lewis St. Performances are at 4:30, 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. For more information, call (714) 544-5679.
