A tentative contract agreement ended a four-day strike by 180 Pittsburgh paramedics who drive ambulances and provide emergency medical care. Members of the Fraternal Assn. of Professional Paramedics returned to their jobs at mid-afternoon, union Secretary Jim Weslager said. A ratification vote was set for tonight, and Weslager said union leaders had recommended passage. He did not disclose exact terms of the pact but said it “did involve money.”
