Angel center fielder Gary Pettis and catcher Bob Boone, along with Dodger pitcher Fernando Valenzuela, were voted Gold Glove winners for their fielding excellence in 1986.

The award was the fourth for Boone, who at 38 became the oldest nonpitcher to win a Gold Glove; the second for Pettis, and the first for Valenzuela.
