California State University, Los Angeles, has begun planning a new arts complex that will include a 1,000-seat auditorium, a 280-seat theater and a 4,000-square-foot museum of art.
The complex will be the only one of its kind among the 19 campuses of the California State University system, according to Cal State Los Angeles President James M. Rosser.
He said $200,000 for planning and design has been approved in Sacramento, and the anticipated total cost of $21 million will be provided by a partnership of the state and the private sector.
