Local News in Brief : 1 Killed, 4 Hurt in Sunland Car Accident
Acar carrying five people overturned Sunday on the Foothill Freeway in Sunland killing one person and injuring four others, authorities said.
Police had not yet identified the victims, but a hospital reported that the injured included a man, 30, his two daughters, ages 3 and 7, and his 2-year-old son.
The father was listed in fair condition and the children were listed in stable condition late Sunday night, said Christine Karlsen, spokeswoman for Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills.
The identity of the person killed was not provided by authorities.
The 5:45 p.m. accident occurred just east of Sunland Boulevard on the Foothill Freeway, said Officer Kent Buzbee of the California Highway Patrol. The cause of the one-car accident is under investigation, he said.
