Police said they are investigating the possibility that a third suspect was involved in the executions of six people, including two children, at a south Oakland home earlier this week. Oakland Police Lt. Richard Brierly said investigators are looking into statements by a woman who survived the attack that she saw a third person, who may have been driving a getaway car. Brierly said no immediate arrest was expected. David E. Welch, 28, and Rita Marie Lewis, 29, have been charged with six counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder. A packet of documents filed in court indicated that survivor Barbara Mabrey saw two people dragging a third person to the getaway car after she fled the house where the assailants were killing her children and grandchild.
