Report Says Care Can Control Spread of AIDS
From Associated Press
Frequent hand-washing and other routine precautions are enough to prevent the spread of AIDS in hospitals, a new report concludes.
Prepared by doctors at the University of California, San Francisco, the report said no special measures need be taken when tending people infected with the acquired immune deficiency syndrome virus.
The position differs from the recommendation of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, which recommends specific precautions.
