Ailing DeLorean Juror Replaced

DETROIT —
One of the 12 jurors deliberating in the criminal fraud and racketeering trial of former auto magnate John Z. DeLorean became sick today, dimming any hopes of a verdict before the weekend.
One of the two alternate jurors was placed on the panel, meaning the jury would have to recap its 2 1/2 days of deliberations to fill in the new member. Alternates do not sit in on deliberations.
