The Pentagon, acting for the executive branch, suspended Beech-Nut Corp. from doing business with any federal agency. Beech-Nut, charged with selling phony apple juice packaged for infants, and its wholly owned subsidiary, Beech-Nut Nutrition Corp., were barred from bidding on or receiving government supply contracts “pending completion of legal proceedings.” A spokesman for the Defense Logistics Agency said the company this year did about $50,000 in business supplying military commissaries overseas.
