An East German government inquiry blamed the Soviet pilot of an Aeroflot jet for the fiery crash last Friday that killed 70 of the 82 people aboard, the official East German news agency ADN reported. Without specifics, the report said the pilot violated landing rules while the twin-engine Tupolev 134, on a flight from the Soviet city of Minsk, was making its approach to East Berlin’s Schoenefeld Airport, causing the plane to crash in a wooded area. Among those killed were all nine of the Soviet crew members and 19 members of a high school students’ group from Schwerin, East Germany.
